Such an intense day. I don’t want this to turn into my diary, but I feel the need to summarize some happenings.

I’m just now realizing that spring break is in 16 days.
16 DAYS. Within that span of time, I have two papers due (one of them worth 40% of a grade), assignments out the ass, and I don’t know how many exams… I don’t even want to know the exact number. I have two this Tuesday and that’s all I’m going to think about

Sometimes I doubt my decision to major in psychology; other times I clearly belong. I’ve had my textbook out for half an hour, but I’ve only read three pages because I’m distracted by watching people’s behavior as they walk by the NYT stand.
I’ve counted five professors that have passed by and picked up a newspaper. I know three of them by recognition, one of them...
Highlight of my day: hearing a statistics professor destroy one of the speaker’s arguments, before departing with a short speech,
“If you’ll excuse me, I must go teach a class. My job as an instructor, after all, is to teach them to think critically instead of indoctrinating them with deceptive information. Thank you for your time.”

I recommend going if you’re in the Jacksonville area. Both bands are a lot of fun, and if you’re unfamiliar it would be a wild experience (in a good way).

Maryland House passes marriage equality bill →

The Maryland House voted Friday to pass a marriage equality bill in the state for the first time ever.
The state Senate passed a similar bill about a year ago, though that bill was ultimately shelved, but it’s expected they will pass it again. Gov. Martin O’Malley has already agreed to sign the bill into law.
